On March 25, invited by "Master Ge Hong Colloquium" of Wuhan Institute of Virology, Ms. Wang zhizhen, Vice-Chairman of 11th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) visited our institute for communication. She has given a wonderful report on "Protein folding——Chaperone", which was presided over by deputy director Tang Hong, to our teachers and students.

In this report, Academician Wang made a simple introduction to the basic principle of protein science and protein folding, gave examples to set forth the unsettled problems in protein science and central dogma, being protein folding, and summarized four standards on judging an albumen capable of the activity of molecular chaperone. Academician Wang specially mentioned the indelible role of Chinese scientists in the research of protein, like propose of protein denaturation theory and crystallized bovine insulin compounded from artificial chemicals. She cautioned the students present there to cherish the present studying days and make full use of the existing scientific research resources to contribute to the development of our scientific research work; after that, she proposed that we should develop morally, intellectually and physically, and stand by our values in this rather materialistic and fickleness society.
